Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Who is Discover Thai Nature?
Discover Thai Nature is an organizer of Seminars in Thailand.
Our background: We are researchers in several industries in Bangkok and are passionate about Thai Botany, Agriculture, Food and culture. Most of our researchers graduated from Kasetsart University.
What is the goal of Discover Thai Nature?
Our goal is to spread global awareness about the amazing culture and opportunities that Thailand brings as a country. Thailand has several points that it is known for, like Muay Thai, Thai Food and Tuk Tuks. But what most people forget is that Thailand was built on the back of hard-working agricultural people. The rich agricultural heritage has shaped Thailands economy for centuries - one of the main goods being Thai rice, which is becoming more popular globally day by day.
But also Thai coffee, grown in the North or Thai fruits like the "King of Fruit" Thai mango (Nam Dok Mai.) are a staple for Thailands variety in delicious produce.
Thailand's relationship with nature is woven into its culture, from the rituals that honor the land and the spirits that reside within it to the modern-day focus on sustainable farming. The influence of agriculture is seen in everything from the festivals that celebrate harvests to the vibrant markets that sell the fruits of the land, connecting people to both the past and the present.
Do I have to pay multiple times?
No! Our package includes 12 seminars for a consecutive full year, according to our schedule.

What is the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)?
The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a visa designed for remote workers or people who participate in Thai soft-power activities (e.g. Seminars or Muay Thai).
It is a multiple entry visa, which allows stays of up to 180 days per entry, extendable once, for a total of one year per entry.
What are the requirements to apply for DTV Soft-Power?
The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) requires specific requirements:
DiscoverThaiNature issues the necessary documentation to support your soft-power visa application, if you purchase the 1 year package:
This includes things such as:
Proof of Enrollment in a Thai Culture related Program.
Formal Enrollment Letter
Class schedule
Company Registration of the Institution – A copy of the official DBD registration
Receipt and payment confirmation
We bundle all into one .pdf, so you don't have to do any additional work.
Which documents are required? (Applicant)
Valid Passport – At least 6 months validity from the application date, but we recommend 5 years, to have the visa run under the same passport.
Passport-Sized Photo – Recent, taken within the last 6 months on a white background.
Proof of Current Location – In some countries you can only apply as a resident. Please check the requirements at your nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate. Otherwise a passport stamp or residence permit is required to confirm where you are applying from.
Visa Fee Payment Receipt – Fees vary by consulate (typically THB 10,000 to THB 15,000).
Financial Proof – At least 500,000 THB in savings in a conventional Bank account:
Official 3 to 6-month bank statement (depends on Embassy)
Alternatively a Sponsorship letter
Is there any guarantee to get approved?
Unfortunately, no. The approval is at sole discretion of the Consul in charge of the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General. Every other institution claiming otherwise is engaging in fraudulent activity, so caution is advised.
Do you offer any guarantee or refund?
Once the documents are issued and you are enrolled (and entered into our Database), and can be or have been used for a DTV application, we offer a 80% refund in case of soft-power activity rejection.
What is "Soft-Power"?
Soft-Power refers to Thai sports, culinary and cultural activities -things which make Thailand so unique.
DiscoverThaiNature tries to promote all these unique things. We are Thailands soft-power, as we try to show people the beauty of Thai agriculture, fruits and fascinating landscapes. Promoting the sharing of knowledge is our goal. We are always happy to hear when people learn something new!
How long can I stay on a DTV, and is it multiple-entry?
180 days per entry - with an extension at your local immigration up to 1 year. So after 180 days you can extend your visa once. After 1 year you have to leave the country and re-enter.
How much money do I need to show, and in which currency?
You are required to show a balance of no less than 500,000 THB (or the equivalent in your currency). Ideally settled in a conventional bank account over the time span of 6 months.
How much money does the DTV itself cost?
The DTV cost varies by country. Most countries charge around 350€ or 400$. You can check on the Thai Embassy website of your country.
How long does DTV processing take?
The processing usually takes at least 5 business days and upon re-submitting documents additional 5 business day. Due to high demand the processing at some Embassies can take longer though.
Can I apply for the DTV from a third country, and do some embassies require local residency?
As mentioned previously, this varies by country and Embassy. If your country has no Thai Embassy, you need to apply at the nearest Thai Embassy. Upon applying on the Thai government’s official e‑Visa website, it will automatically show you, which countries jurisdiction you fall under.
Can I work in Thailand on a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)?
No. Employment is prohibited.
